How can I charge my Nuance Audio™ Plus?

To charge your Nuance Audio™ Plus, you can use either the Nuance Audio™ Plus - Charging Pad or the Charging Case.

Charging Pad

Step 1: Connect the Charging Pad to a standard USB-C charger or power source (minimum 5V/1A).

Step 2: Fold the Glasses and place them upside down on the Charging Pad as shown below. The built-in magnets will help position them correctly.

Charging Pad LED status indications:

• Orange: Charging in progress
• Green: Glasses fully charged (96% or higher)

Charging Case

Step 1: Make sure the Charging Case has sufficient battery charge.

Step 2: Place the folded Glasses inside the Charging Case as shown.

Step 3: Ensure the Glasses are aligned with the magnetic charging components inside the Charging Case. During charging, avoid moving or vibrating the Glasses excessively, as this may affect charging performance.

Charging Case LED status indicators (when no Glasses are inside):
• Green: Battery level above 41%
• Orange: Battery level between 11% and 40%
• Red: Battery level between 0% and 10%

Charging Case LED status indicators (when Glasses are inside):
• Green: Glasses battery level above 90%
• Orange: Glasses battery level between 21% and 89%
• Red: Glasses battery level below 20%

Each time the Charging Case is connected to or disconnected from a power source, opened or closed, or when the Glasses are inserted or removed, the front LED activates to display the current battery level.

A breathing LED pattern indicates that charging is in progress. A solid LED pattern indicates that charging is complete.

Glasses battery level indication (frame LED)

When the Glasses stop charging, the LED indicator on the frame displays the battery level for few seconds before turning off automatically:
• Green: Battery level above 90%
• Orange: Battery level between 21% and 89%
• Red: Battery level below 20%

 

How long does a full charge take?

A full charge takes about 4 hours.

How long does the battery last?

At original capacity, when fully charged (battery level 100%) and under Normal Use Conditions, the battery in Nuance Audio™ Plus is expected to provide up to 10 hours of continuous use.

Actual battery performance may vary depending on environmental conditions, usage patterns, and audio settings.

Assuming approximately one full charge per day:
• After 500 full charging cycles (approximately 16 months of use), the battery is expected to retain at least 85% of its original capacity, providing up to 8 hours and 30 minutes of continuous use under average conditions
• After 1,000 full charging cycles (approximately 32 months of use), the battery is expected to retain at least 80% of its original capacity, providing up to 8 hours of continuous use under average conditions

Normal Use Conditions include:
• Using the product in accordance with the User Guide and within the recommended operating temperature range
• Avoiding exposure to extreme heat, cold, or humidity
• Using the product primarily as a hearing aid (phone calls may reduce battery life below 10 hours)
• Using only supplied or certified charging accessories
• Charging and discharging the battery according to the provided guidelines
• Ensuring Nuance Audio™ Plus is running the latest firmware version
• Charging the battery at room temperature
• Charging the battery only when necessary
• Fully charging the battery before disconnecting it from power

How can I check the battery level?

You can check the battery level of your Nuance Audio™ Plus in the following ways:

1. Via the Nuance Audio™ App

The exact battery level is displayed in the top-left corner of the App Home page.

2. Glasses LED indicators

When the Glasses stop charging, the LED on the frame indicates the battery level:
• Green: Battery level above 90%
• Orange: Battery level between 21% and 89%
• Red: Battery level below 20%

3. Audio prompt

When powering on the Glasses, an audio prompt announces the battery level in 5% increments.

Can I check if the battery is deteriorating?

Contact our Support Center and they can inform you on your battery health if you have consented to sharing your data with Nuance Audio™ Plus

What can I do to extend the battery life?

To help maximize the battery life of your Nuance Audio™ Plus:
• Make sure your Glasses are running the latest firmware version.
• Turn off hearing assistance when it is not needed. (How can I turn the Glasses on and off?)
• Charge the battery at room temperature.
• Charge the battery only when necessary.
• Fully charge the battery before unplugging your Glasses.

Is it possible to replace the battery of Nuance Audio™ Plus?

No, the battery is not replaceable.
However:

How many full charges can the Charging Case provide and how long does it take for the Glasses to fully charge?

The Charging Case provides 3 cycles of full charge, a single full charge cycle (battery level from 0% to 100%) of the Glasses takes up to  4 hours (using 1.5A charger cable).

How long does it take for the Charging Case to charge?

Up to 4 hours (using 1.5A charger cable).

How do I check if the Glasses and the Charging Case are charging?

The Charging Case has two LED indicators:

• Back LED: indicates whether the Charging Case is connected to a power source. The LED turns green for few seconds to confirm that the Charging Case is connected and functioning properly.

• Front LED: activates whenever the Charging Case is connected to or disconnected from power, the lid is opened or closed, or the Glasses are inserted or removed. The LED displays the current battery level.

A breathing LED pattern indicates that charging is in progress (either the Charging Case or the Glasses inside are charging). A solid LED pattern indicates that charging is complete or that the case is not charging.

• Green: Battery level above 41%
• Orange: Battery level between 11% and 40%
